I will not be winning mom or wife of the year awards today. Reason #9 ( we haven't really known each other long enough for me to disclose reasons 1-8), I used trav's favorite shirt to clean up urine. Let me explain, first of all this gem of a shirt is like 7 years old, it's orange and has Chester cheetah from Cheetos fame ( and you all KNOW how I feel about cheetle). Travis chose this monstrosity to wear during Jason's birth. That's right, an event of hugely proportionate sentimental value and he picked a shirt this awesome (READ: hideously terrible). Every picture from jdizzle's beautiful first day of life, stained with cheetle. I tried to extinguish it from his wardrobe, but it always shows up, vacation pics, holiday pictures, he even threatened to wear it for maddie's delivery. Thank heavens she was late and good ole Chester was finally due for a rare received washing.
Anywho, back to the urine clean up. It was only 6 year old urine, (I don't mean 6 year old urine, like urine that's six years old, my housekeeping habits are not THAT lax, but I mean urine FROM a six -year -old (less dishelved moms, don't judge me, yeah my kid occasionally misses the target)). And it was next to the toilet, the urine, not the shirt. Well kind of, the shirt was in the dirty clothes pile, I mean hamper.
Reason #11 the secret guacamole incident. There was only one avocado left. Do you know how little guacamole one is able to make from ONE avocado? The lone avocado coupled with maddie's affinity for the treasured dish most often results in almost no delicacy for moi. So, I did what any guac addict does, I quietly assembled my ingredients, turned the facet on as I opened the tortilla chips and cowered in the kitchen as i greeted my tasty treasure. But my girlie saw me " can I have a bite mommy? What are you having mommy?" One glance and she knew, "guacamole! Let's share mommy!" So I did what any hungry mommy does, I shared the rest of my delicious treat with my girlie.
(only no one comes to pick up the kidos at the end of the day & we don't get paid)

Back in Business
I’m back in the saddle! December 21 brought the end of part time job I like to call "grad school" and I couldn't be happier! With my new found freedom, I’ve found a renewed love in cooking. Below, the fruits of Christmas break’s labor!
Strawberry jam along with 5 loaves of bread and a batch of buns, granted 2 of the loaves didn't make it. One of two 1/2 lbs of butter, but the yogurt I cultured didn't make the photo. I tried to get Trav to add peanuts to the grocery list for peanut butter, but he couldn't be persuaded. Therrs always Next week though.
